At Arcus LGBT, we understand that navigating trauma within the LGBTQ+ community comes with its own unique set of challenges as does life in any community. That’s why our counselling service is trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ affirming. Our team of experienced counsellors is dedicated to creating an environment where individuals can feel seen, heard, and understood—free from judgement or discrimination.
🌟 Who Can Benefit?🌟
Our Trauma-Informed Counselling Service is open to all members of the public who have experienced trauma, whether it’s related to their sexual orientation, gender identity, or other aspects of their lives. We welcome individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and identities, providing support that is inclusive and accessible to everyone.
🌟 How is the service delivered?🌟
The service is ran and delivered by our partner Andrew Fleming who is our newly appointed Trauma Service Manager. He is a proud member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), meaning he adheres to very high ethical standards within his clinical practice. His qualifications include a Certificate and a Diploma in Counselling Skills, a Certificate and a Diploma in Integrative Counselling Practice, and specialised trauma-informed training in areas crucial for supporting any community. These areas include LGBT+ Awareness and Inclusion, Online and Telephone Counselling, the Rewind Technique, Loss and Bereavement, Safeguarding Adults and Children, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, General Data Protection Regulation, Working Therapeutically with Children and Young People, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

The sessions are conducted remotely by phone or video at a cost of £60 per session – you can make a referral for yourself or someone you think would benefit from this using the button below. Each client will receive a thorough assessment prior to accessing the service.
