We are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest initiative: the Children's and Young Persons Counselling Service at Arcus! At Arcus, we understand the unique challenges that children and young people face in today's world, and we are committed to providing them with the support they need to thrive.

We have developed this service in partnership with Gentle Thoughts Counselling. Based in County Durham Gentle Thoughts Counselling brings a wealth of experience and expertise working with young people and children
Our new counselling service is designed specifically for children and young people aged 8 to 18 years old who may be struggling with various issues such as anxiety, depression, family problems, bullying, trauma, or any other emotional difficulties they may be experiencing.
Here's what sets our counselling service apart:
1. Tailored Approach: Our experienced and compassionate counsellors take a client-centred approach, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs and preferences of the child or young person.
2. Safe and Supportive Environment: We provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where children and young people can express themselves freely and explore their thoughts and feelings.
3. Holistic Support: Our counselling service takes a holistic approach, addressing not only the immediate concerns but also helping children and young people develop coping strategies, resilience, and emotional well-being for the long term.
4. Creative Counselling: Using a variety of creative approaches with the young person to enable them to express themselves fully.
5. Flexible Approach: we can offer online sessions for young people over 13 years of age
Whether the child is struggling with school-related stress, peer pressure, family conflict, or any other challenges, our dedicated team is here to help.
