PRIDE is here and we hope everyone has a safe time, however they partake. You’ll no doubt have seen in the media some concerns about LGBT + people being targeted with hate crime over pride. We’re not going to give the details of that any airtime. However, if during pride, or indeed at any time, you experience a hate crime, here’s what you can do:
REPORT THE HATE CRIME. You can report a hate crime by calling 101, or if you are in imminent danger or the crime is ongoing 999. You can also report anonymously online at https://www.met.police.uk/true-vision-report-hate-crime/. Always make a report even if you’re not sure, it might be helpful to the police as it may help them with other cases.
GET SUPPORT. We can help you with reporting the crime, before during and after. You can contact us on 07434 794 059 or firstname.lastname@example.org
